FAST FORWARD TO OCTOBER 8, 2005:

Peter Colar and his family and children had planned to start a new life in Beaumont but now that is uncertain since they evacuated from Hurricane Rita. They are currently in Houston staying with family friends until they can get back into Beaumont.

Anita Colar and Marcel’s niece Debra are staying in Atlanta Georgia with
family.

Bernard Colar is planning to move closer to his daughter in Virginia.

Marcel is still in the nursing home in San Antonio. None of his family have been able to visit him yet. The nursing home will not release Marcel until he has a permanent home to go to and adequate access to medical care.

Felicia, Andre and several children and grandchildren are in Dallas Texas staying at the Budget Suites after evacuating from Hurricane Rita. Felicia has found a home to rent in Dallas and she will be moving in on Monday October 10th. She has been unable to get from Dallas to San Antonio to visit her father as they have limited transportation and the family is traveling with several children ranging from 8 years to 18 years old that need to be looked after.

At this time, all these families are trying to put their lives back together. Felicia is first to get her permanent housing situation together and as mentioned before, she hopes to move into her home in Dallas on Monday October 10th. Since they lost everything they will need everything one normally needs in their household. Felicia especially wants to make the home comfortable for Marcel and make his room comfortable so he has proper sleeping quarters after she gets him from the nursing home. Unfortunately the family lost all of their cars and transportation which Felicia will need to take Marcel to his medical appointments. Again, they lost
everything so pretty much they need anything that anyone can think of donating to help them on their way to a fresh start.
